Following the extreme flood events of the winters of 2013/14 and 2015/16, HM Treasury provided the following exceptional additional funding to meet costs of responding to the flooding; and repairing, restoring and maintaining critical flood defences:

2013/14 - £30m

2014/15 - £180m

2015/16 - £85m
