The focus of discussions between the UK and China on North Korea is how we both use our relations to dissuade Pyongyang from pursuing nuclear weapons. I discussed this objective with Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing on 15 August 2016 during my visit to Beijing, and I raised it most recently with the Chinese Ambassador on 27 October 2016.
