Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent discussions she has had with the police on maintaining social distancing in public spaces.
The Home Secretary holds regular meetings with policing partners about a range of issues linked to the response to Covid-19. This includes the measures in place to maintain social distancing in public places.
We will continue to work closely with the police to ensure any changes to the Regulations or guidance are understood and enforced consistently, and that decisions regarding further restriction or relaxations take account of the impact on crime, policing and public order.
