The Prime Minister is clear that tackling poverty and disadvantage, and delivering real social reform, is a priority for this Government.

We know that work is the best route out of poverty and we are making progress. The number of children living in workless households is down by 557,000 since 2010 and the employment rate in the UK continues to run at a record high of 74.5%, with wages rising faster than inflation.
