Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many academy conversions have taken place in each of the last 12 months.

In the year to the 1 November 2016, 840 academies have been opened. Of these 644 have been through the conversion route.
The table shows the breakdown of the number of academies that have opened each month from 1 December 2015 to 1 November 2016:
