Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, when she plans to bring forward the legislative proposals that will be required as a consequence of the planned removal of the Education Services Grant to local authorities.

We have provided local authorities with the operational information on revenue funding for 2017-18 which includes the removal of the Education Services Grant. We intend to lay draft regulations to effect these arrangements in legislation as soon as possible in the new year.
