Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many press and public relations staff were employed by his Department in each year since 2019.

The current number of media relations officers (press officers) within the Directorate of Defence Communications, the central lead for Defence Communications within the MOD for the years requested is shown in the table below by financial year. Data for staff employed by the Department in a public relations role is not held centrally and could only be provided at disproportionate cost.
