The Foreign Secretary and the Chief of the Defence Staff discussed these issues with their Egyptian counterparts during recent visits. We are committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism from our countries and continue to work closely with the Egyptian authorities on security and counter-terrorism. UK Government Ministers have sent consistent messages of solidarity to the Egyptian people and their Government in response to terrorist attacks in that country. The UK Government stands united with Egypt in the face of terror-related attacks.
