Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, whether she has had discussions with the BBC Trust on proposals to tender 60 per cent of BBC radio production; and if she will make a statement.

The requirements for the BBC to offer 60% of eligible radio hours for competition by 2022 reflects the terms of an agreement reached between BBC and the Radio Independents Group (RIG) and was announced by the BBC in June 2015.
