Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the oral contribution of the Minister of State for School Standards on 8 November 2016, on the performance of Cedar Mount, Official Report, col 1447, when she plans to write to the hon. Member for Manchester Central to advise what action the Government is taking to address the underperformance of Cedar Mount Academy, run by Bright Futures multi-academy trust.

Vicky Beer, the Regional Schools Commissioner for Lancashire and West Yorkshire, has met Bright Futures Educational Trust on a number of occasions to discuss the progress that has been to improve the performance of Cedar Mount. She is meeting them again before Christmas and I will write to you following that meeting.
