Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many (a) training places and (b) clinical placements have been funded by Health Education England in each year since 2012.

Health Education England (HEE) was established in June 2012 as a special health authority and took on its operational functions from April 2013. The table below shows the total number of full time equivalent pre-registration training places that were funded by HEE in each year from 2013/14 to 2015/16.
