Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 30 July 2021 to Question 29882, and the Answer of 13 September 2021 to Question 41177, what estimate he has made of the number of carers that hold a social care relevant qualification who are employed in roles that do not have formal qualification requirements.

Of the 1.09 million individuals employed in direct care roles which do not have formal qualification requirements, approximately 490,000 hold a social-care relevant qualification.
