Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many new institutes of technology her Department plans to provide in (a) 2017-18, (b) 2018-19, (c) 2019-20, (d) 2020-21 and (e) 2021-22.
This question was answered on 3rd July 2017
As part of our Industrial Strategy, we will launch a call for proposals to establish new Institutes of Technology later this year. The number of new institutions we approve will depend on the quality and number of bids we receive.
