HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is responsible for the collection and publication of data on UK imports and exports of goods to and from the UK. HMRC releases this information monthly, as a National Statistic called the Overseas Trade in Goods Statistics.

Unfortunately, the trade data collected does not enable HMRC to determine the ultimate end user of exports. Nor does the trade data collected enable HMRC to distinguish exports of 2-Chloro-1-phenylethanone, Phenylacyl chloride, Chloroacetophenone from exports of other organic ketones and quinone chemicals classified under commodity code 29147900.

However, there is aggregated trade data available for goods classified under commodity code 29147900 and the periods requested on our uktradeinfo.com website, under ‘Build your own data tables’. The site also contains a ‘Help’ function with information on how to extract trade data.
