Modern slavery is a complex, transnational crime and a wide range of UK diplomatic, policy and operational staff are involved in supporting HMG’s response to this issue, based both in the UK and overseas. The cooperation agreed at the Gulf Summit will primarily be taken forward by Immigration Regional Liaison Officers and diplomatic staff based in the region, supported by teams in London, as part of a wider range of tasks.
