Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many civil servants his Department employs; and how many such staff his Department plans to employ in each of the next three years.

As at 31 October 2016, 3211 staff were employed by the Department.

Workforce planning is continuing which will include staffing forecasts for future years.
