Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, when her Department plans to consult on the new entitlement to free digital skills training to be introduced in the Digital Economy Bill.

This Government recognises the increasing importance of basic digital skills to get on in life and in work and is committed to making publicly-funded basic digital skills training free to all adults who need it. The timetable for consulting on the new offer has not yet been set and will be announced in due course.
