Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, when he plans to respond to the report of the review group on Community Infrastructure published in November 2015; and if he will make a statement.

The Government commissioned a review of the Community Infrastructure Levy in November 2015, which was undertaken by an independent panel who were specifically asked to look at the extent to which the levy provides an effective mechanism for funding infrastructure, and to recommend changes that will improve its operation in support of the Government’s wider housing and growth objectives.

The review group submitted their report to Ministers in October 2016. The Government is currently reviewing the recommendations and will respond in the forthcoming Housing White Paper.
