Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what steps her Department is taking to improve relationship management with bilateral government partners through transition by risk management and more coordinated communications.

The Independent Commission on Aid Impact (ICAI) published a review of DFID’s approach to managing exit and transition in its development partnerships in November 2016. My Department will publish its response shortly to recommendations made in the ICAI report, including on cross-government management of relationships and risk, and on communication.
