As part of the Serious Illness Care Programme pilot, patient conversations are due to be completed in summer 2017. The Research and Innovation Directorate at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust will then evaluate the outcome data collected, so that they can complete the pilot report.

A variety of qualitative and quantitative measures will be collected and assessed as part of the pilots. This includes assessments of patients’ understanding and control of their health care, and their quality of life.
