Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what assessment he has made of the effect on patient outcomes of NHS England's decision not to routinely fund second stem cell transplants for patients whose disease relapses.
Decisions related to the commissioning of National Health Service treatments in England are made by NHS England using a published process that involves an impact assessment. The Department currently has no plans to review the effect of NHS England’s decision to not routinely fund stem cell transplants for patients with relapsed disease.
