Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what financial resources her Department has allocated for the UK National Adaption programme; and if she will make a statement.

Adaptation is embedded as an integral part of policy making across Defra and all levels of Government, and within a broad range of programmes and activities that directly or indirectly support and build the UK’s resilience to climate change. It is, therefore, not possible to provide an estimate of the total amount of resource applied to support our National Adaptation Programme objectives across all of those policies, programmes and activities.
