Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what estimate his Department has made of the cost of fully automating the trains on the London Underground.
This question was answered on 17th January 2017
The Department has made no assessment of this matter. The Mayor of London is responsible for the London Underground and any decision to move towards full automation of the trains would be entirely for him.
