Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what guidance her Department has issued to police services on people viewing pornography in public places.

There are a number of criminal offences that could apply to individuals viewing pornography in public places depending on the circumstances and context of the incident, and we expect the police to apply their operational discretion when an incident is reported. The Home Office has not issued specific guidance on this issue.
