Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what estimate he has made of the number of employees in his Department working in full-time business support roles in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement.

Information on individual staff roles and the percentage of time spent on specific tasks is not held centrally and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
