Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many additional staff his Department plans to employ to work on the proposed Great Repeal Bill; and if he will make a statement.
This question was answered on 26th January 2017
The Repeal Bill will end the authority of EU law, so that Parliament will be free to amend, repeal and improve any law it chooses, and convert the body of existing EU law into domestic law. The Department will continue to ensure there is an appropriate level of resource to support the work on the Bill.
