Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what estimate his Department has made of the number of people who have become street homeless since the start of the Everybody In initiative who have not been accommodated in emergency accommodation, by local authority area.
On 3 June, the Government published the management information that supports the announcements from the Secretary of State?and Dame Louise Casey that 15,000 people have?been accommodated by local authorities in response to COVID-19.? This information is collected from over 300 local authorities nationally.? We are continuing to work with local authorities?to understand the work they are doing to help the most vulnerable in our society.
