The Department for Education supports adult further education and skills training through the Adult Education Budget. Since 2011 Colleges and training providers have the flexibility to determine how they use their budget allocation, working with Local Enterprise Partnerships and local commissioners to determine the offer that best meets local needs. This approach enables providers to deliver learning in locations and at times that suit their learners. There is no requirement for Colleges to report on the times at which they make courses available, and we have not conducted a central assessment.
