Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of support to the family and carers of people in receipt of end-of-life care.

We have made no specific assessment. Local authorities have a statutory duty to assess the eligible social care needs of the local population, including for carers of people in receipt of end-of-life care, with clinical commissioning groups holding the equivalent responsibility for their health needs.
