Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what contingency plans he has in place for managing hospital admissions in the event that hospital bed occupancy has reached capacity.

The National Health Service has established processes to respond to such pressures through the NHS Business Continuity Management Framework. These processes enable NHS providers to access the necessary support to maintain the continuity of services.
