Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment she has made of the adequacy of the average amount of time it takes her Department to respond to correspondence from MPs; and if she will take steps to improve that response time.
The Department aims to reply to correspondence within 20 working days. We have approximately doubled our response times since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and in 2022 to date, our performance is 45.2%. We are committed to improving this further.
