Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment she has made of the potential merits of making public complaints data held by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman to allow the public to understand the performance of their local NHS body on dealing with complaints.

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) produces quarterly reports on the number of complaints received for each acute National Health Service trust in England. The PHSO publishes annual data on these complaints and the decisions made online.
