Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, when she plans to commence consultation on a new regulatory framework for higher education providers.

Subject to the passage of the Bill, the consultation on the new regulatory framework for higher education will take place in autumn 2017, so the new regulatory body, the Office for Students, can begin accepting and assessing applications from new and existing providers in 2018, in time for the 2019-20 Academic Year.
