5G: Standards

Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, with reference to the National Infrastructure Commission's report, Connected future, published 15 December 2016, how standards for 5G coverage will be agreed.
This question was answered on 31st January 2017
Government will respond to the recommendations of the National Infrastructure Commission's response through publication of the 5G Strategy. This strategy will outline the steps the Government is taking to ensure that the UK seizes the opportunity to be a world leader in 5G. Further updates on development of the strategy will issue around Budget 2017.
