Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many households are using a pre-payment meter for electricity and gas in (a) the Linlithgow and East Falkirk constituency, (b) Scotland and (c) the UK.


This question was answered on 27th June 2017

The Department collects data on the method of payment for domestic gas and electricity customers by public electricity supply (PES) region from a survey of energy suppliers. From this, data is not available by parliamentary constituency; however, Linlithgow and East Falkirk falls within the South Scotland PES region which is provided below instead. Gas data is only collected for Great Britain not the United Kingdom.
