Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate he has made of the amount recovered from third party insurers for NHS treatment under the NHS Injury Recovery Scheme by (a) Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, (b) Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, (c) University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and (d) East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in each of the last five years for which figures are available; and how much of that amount which is recoverable remains outstanding.
The information requested is provided in the table below, which reflects the total actual amount recovered by the NHS in each of the last five financial years.
The Department does not hold information centrally on the value of outstanding claims which may or may not result in the recovery of treatment costs.
