Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many people received income tax relief for Seafarers Earnings Deduction in (a) 2013-14 and (b) 2014-15.
This question was answered on 2nd February 2017
The number of seafarers claiming Seafarers Earnings Deduction through self-assessment was 21,000 for the tax year 2013-14 and 20,000 for the tax year 2014-15.
