Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what assessment she has made of the adequacy of the funding from her Department to recruit 13,000 neighbourhood police officers by 2029.

We have made £200 million available in FY 25/26 to support the first steps towards delivering 13,000 more neighbourhood personnel.

This major investment, alongside £66 million for hotspot policing, supports the commitment to make the country’s streets safer.
