To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what progress his Department has made on the procurement of the UK's new border force vessels.

The next key step on the procurement of the UK’s new Border Force vessels is working closely with the National Shipbuilding Office, on the commencement of market engagement. Wider programme activity being progressed in parallel includes: continuing to develop the strategic case; working up the broad requirements set; scoping the cost benefit analysis; and building the programme team.
