Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the (a) ethnicity, (b) gender, (c) disability status, (d) educational background and (e) socio-economic status is of the three most senior officials of his Department.

The Department’s Executive team comprises the Permanent Secretary, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Scientific Officer and four Directors General, of which:

- six are White British or Any Other White Background, one is Undeclared;

- four are female and three are male; and

- fewer than five have declared disability.

The Department does not hold centrally information on the socio-economic status or education level of its staff members. Further information about the Executive Team is available on the Department’s website.
