Through the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill, we will preserve and incorporate the necessary retained European Union law into domestic legislation prior to the proposed 2023 expiry.

The independent Food Standards Agency (FSA), working with Food Standards Scotland, is participating in the review of all retained EU law within its responsibilities. The FSA advises the Government, Welsh Ministers and the Northern Ireland Executive as appropriate. Consumer safety or the ability of business to trade during this review will not be compromised.
