Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the Answer of 26 April 2017 to Question 71274, what process her Department follows to distribute funds from the Police Transformation Fund to police forces in England and Wales.

The Police Reform and Transformation Board (PRTB), whose membership is taken from across policing including Police and Crime Commissioners and Chiefs Constables, through a police-led process makes recommendations to the Home Secretary on forces’ bids for the Police Transformation Fund (PTF). The Home Office carries out an assurance exercise before the Home Secretary makes final decisions on funding.
