To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 5 December 2016 to Question 54640, on passports, what the age profile is of UK passport holders.

The table below shows the age profile as a percentage of valid UK passports in circulation. This information is taken from the number of valid UK passports as of 31 December 2016. A valid passport is one that is not damaged, cancelled or expired.

These statistics have been taken from a live operational database and as such, numbers may change as information on that system is updated.
