Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, when the Government will publish the Women and Girls strategy.

No publication date has been fixed yet, but the FCDO will publish a new Women and Girls Strategy soon. This will build on the International Development Strategy and outline how the FCDO will use the full range of levers at its disposal (including foreign, development, and security) to deliver on the 3Es (Educating girls, Empowering women and girls, and Ending violence against women and girls). This is especially urgent work in the context of global challenges and the attempted rollback on women's and girls' rights by some actors.
