Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what plans his Department has to publish a Child Poverty Strategy (a) every three years and (b) in 2017.

We will set out our approach to tackling child poverty and disadvantage in our green paper on social justice which will be published in due course. The statutory requirement to publish a Child Poverty Strategy as set out in the Child Poverty Act 2010 has been repealed.
