The Prime Minister has committed the UK to donating 100 million vaccine doses by June 2022, of which 30 million will be donated by the end of 2021. To date, we have donated 20.6 million doses. For bilateral donations, we seek assurance from all recipients that they have the capacity to roll out the doses offered ahead of their expiry, in line with National Deployment and Vaccination Plans. COVAX secures the same assurances from recipients before they deploy vaccines. We aim to donate all doses with at least 8 weeks until expiry as recommended by the World Health Organisation.
