Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment his Department has made of the effect of increases in alcohol duty on the viability of pubs.

The Treasury keeps all taxes under review and engages with a wide variety of organisations to understand industry developments, including the beer and pub industry and public health groups.
