Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many civil servants of his Department oversee contracts which have been awarded to external providers.

It is the responsibility of individual teams across the Department to manage contracts and maintain the appropriate level of oversight consistent with the value, strategic importance and levels of risk associated with individual contracts.
