Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many civil servants of his Department oversee contracts which have been awarded to external providers.

Providing numbers of all staff who oversee all contracts in the FCO (for the UK and Overseas) could only be provided at disproportionate cost. For major departmental contracts that are delivered in or from the UK for the FCO worldwide, there are approximately 50 staff overseeing contracts.
