Mergers: Foreign Companies

Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many of the firm bids received for mergers and acquisitions of UK companies were made by bidders based outside the UK in financial year (a) 2015-16 and (b) 2016-17 to date.
This question was answered on 2nd March 2017
The Government does not collect these figures.
